The Long Bay Symphony presents An Evening at the Opera with internationally-acclaimed mezzo-soprano Kirstin Chávez, the Carolina Master Chorale and Litchfield Dance Arts Academy for a grand theatrical experience including beloved arias, ensemble numbers, ballet scenes and instrumental showpieces from popular operas. The program takes place on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. and includes selections from the following: Verdi’s Il Trovatore, Aïda; Saint-Saëns’ Samson and Delilah; Bizet’s Carmen; Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute.  

This performance as well as all Classical Series performances are held at the MBHS Music & Arts Center, 3302 Robert Grissom Parkway in Myrtle Beach. A pre-concert talk with Maestro Charles Jones Evans begins at 3:15 p.m. Gain insight into the music being performed in this concert.
