Atlantic Stage Presents 4th Annual New Voices Play Fest

Atlantic Stage presents the 4th Annual New Voices Play Fest. This year’s festival includes staged readings of new works with post reading talk backs lead by Atlantic Stage Playwright in Residence, Kevin D. Ferguson. On Friday, May 1, 2015, enjoy a night of 10-minute and one-act plays. The festivities begin at noon on Saturday, May 2, 2015 with a day of full-length plays, followed by a reception at 6:00 p.m. for the featured play Cut and Cover by Meredith Dayna Levy.

Friday, May 1, 2015 – An Evening of Ten-Minute and One-Act Plays

Graduation by Nathan Smith (Mansfield, Texas) at 6:00 p.m.

Waiting for Seven by Philip Hall (Longboat Key, Florida) at 6:30 p.m.

War Hero by Julian Olf (Sarasota, Florida) at 7:00 p.m.

Featured One-Act Play – The Haircut by Meredith Dayna Levy (Roanoke, Virginia) at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, May 2, 2015 – A Day of Full-Length Plays

It’s a Riot: The Astor Place Theatre Riot Revisited by Anne G’Fellers-Mason (Gastonia, North Carolina) at 12:00 p.m.

Together We Are Making a Poem in Honor of Life by Dean Poyner (New York, New York) at 2:00 p.m.

Ben & Rita by Wendy-Marie Martin (San Louis Obispo, California) at 4:00 p.m.

Reception for Cut and Cover at 6:00 p.m.

Featured Full-Length Play – Cut and Cover by Meredith Dayna Levy (Roanoke, Virginia) at 7:30 p.m.


Play Fest takes place at 79th Avenue Theatre, which is located inside the Coastal Carolina University Myrtle Beach Education Center at 900 79th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach. Admission is free. For more information, call (877) 287-8587.
