Carolina Master Chorale Presents An Outbreak of Peace

An Outbreak of Peace

The Carolina Master Chorale presents An Outbreak of Peace, featuring Ann Benson, Stephen Paul Webb, and Jeffrey Jones. Andrew Fowler’s An Outbreak of Peace tells the true story of the Christmas Eve truce of 1914, when a German soldier began singing Silent Night and climbed from the trenches with a truce sign and a Christmas tree. Soon soldiers from both sides joined together to celebrate the holiday until dawn, when all returned to the horrors of history’s bloodiest war. Dazzling original music, traditional carols, soaring solos, and powerful choruses with colorful instrumental accompaniment create an uplifting and memorable Christmas event for all ages.
