Chagall Lecture at Myrtle Beach Art Museum

Sharing Chagall with Vivian R. Jacobson

The Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum presents Sharing Chagall, a lecture with Vivian R. Jacobson, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Art Museum. Jacobson will be selling and signing her book Sharing Chagall: A Memoir after her lecture.

For the last 30 years, Vivian Jacobson has lectured on Marc Chagall in many parts of the United States as well as in Israel, France and Austria. In the course of her lectures, Jacobson offers insight into the artist himself, as well as describing Chagall’s social, political, religious, educational and family environment. These personal stories have intrigued her audiences by often revealing the meaning and understanding of his paintings and other artwork. Jacobson encourages guests to bring any Chagall prints they may have to add to the discussion.

Seating is limited for the Chagall Lecture. Call (843) 238-2510 for reservations. Find more information about the Myrtle Beach Art Museum here.
