SC Arts Commission Presents Free Network & Knowledge Gathering

SC Arts Commission

The South Carolina Arts Commission and the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum are collaborating to present a special Network and Knowledge Gathering for nonprofit arts leaders, board members, artists, and community leaders of Georgetown and Horry counties.

This session provides an opportunity to network with your arts community and hear about the fantastic arts organizations, artists and leaders who are working to bring the arts alive along the Grand Strand. Presentation topics include nonprofit best practices, individual artist practices, and community cultural development. Learn more about the many South Carolina Arts Commission programs, grants and services that can help support you and our arts community.

The event takes place Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Myrtle Beach Art Museum. Admission is free; however, registration is required by Monday, March 16, 2015. There are two available sessions. Please choose one of the following time slots when you register: 1.) 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or 2.) 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. To reserve your spot, visit the website here.

This gathering accomplishes the goals of the Long Range Plan for the Arts as well as the South Carolina Arts Commission’s mission to “develop a thriving arts environment” for the benefit of all South Carolinians. For more information, contact Joy Young with the South Carolina Arts Commission, by emailing [email protected] or by calling (803) 734-8203.
